Recently, one of our therapists, Adam Westenhofer, attended the 2024 annual meeting for the American Association for Hand Surgery (AAHS) to learn from the leaders in arm and hand surgeries/conditions and how to best treat them. One of the goals of the AAHS is to "provide innovative and high-quality education to surgeons, therapists, residents, fellows and all professionals dedicated to hand care".

Adam Westenhofer is an Occupational Therapist (OT) and Certified Hand Therapist (CHT). The Hand Therapy Certification requires advance training and thousands of hours of experience in therapy for conditions involving the entire arm, from the shoulder to the fingertips. The certification is awarded from the Hand Therapy Certification Commission (HTCC), Link Here.
As of this year, there are approximately only 7,000 CHT's in the entire USA.
87% of CHT's are OT's and 12% are PT's.
