Job Description

The Speech Language Pathologist plans and provides speech language pathology outpatient services including evaluation, treatment, ongoing assessment, and education programs for patients related to improving speech, language, and swallowing/feeding abilities. Outstanding customer service to our patients is our number one concern for any applicant and should have a desire to help and serve others in this position.

 

Job Duties:

  • Evaluation: Use of standardized tests and other evaluation tools to evaluate patient needs as it relates to scope of practice with speech therapy including speech, language, swallowing, and feeding problems.

  • Treatment: Identify and implement treatment procedures to address identified client problems.

  • Instruct and counsel patients and/or families on effective home program.

  • Customer Service: Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and concern to patients and families during patient care and in the workplace.

  • Ensure safety and comfort during patient treatments, evaluation, and mobility in the clinic.

  • Complete documentation within 24 hours of therapy services delivery.

  • Accurate and complete electronic documentation.

  • Continued assessment on progress towards established goals and need to continue or discontinue therapy services.

  • Adherence to ethical and legal standards as well as all company policies and procedures.

  • Maintain active licensure in New Mexico state and continued compliance with continued education requirements.

  • Effective communication with all staff, management, patients, families, and referring providers.​

 

Qualifications

  • New Mexico State License: Speech Audiology and Hearing

  • Education: Bachelors degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology

  • 1+ year experience (Preferred)

 

Required Documentation Upon Hire

  1. CPR Certificate

  2. HBV Shots or Declination

  3. Flu or Declination for each flu season

  4. COVID Vaccination record or Exemption

  5. Driver’s License

  6. Educational Accomplishments / CV

Compliance with the COVID-19 vaccine mandate enforced by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) is a requirement for this position. Federal law requires individuals holding this position to be fully vaccinated or have an approved exemption for certain medical, disability, or religious reasons.   • PRN within the following hours and workdays

    • 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

    • Monday to Friday
